US holds over 40% share of the Global Tourism & Leisure Industry M&A deals

Total tourism & leisure industry M&A deals in Q3 2019 worth $5.61 billion and the United States held a 40.4% share with a total value of $13.9 billion in Q3 2019.

According to GlobalData’s deals database, the value marked a decrease of 74.8% over the previous quarter and a drop of 36.5% when compared with the last four-quarter average of $8.88 billion.
In terms of deal activity, the US recorded 90 deals during Q3 2019, marking a rise of 40.6% over the previous quarter and a rise of 20% over the last four-quarter average.

The top five tourism & leisure industry M&A deals accounted for 67.3% of the overall value during Q3 2019.
The combined value of the top five tourism & leisure M&A deals stood at $3.78bn, against the overall value of $5.61bn recorded for the month.
