The 5th edition of Asia’s leading sports business conference and awards platform, SPIA Asia – Asia’s Sports Industry Awards & Conference, is announced the extension of its major partnership with TPB Philippines for the 2019 event in the Philippines. SPIA Asia 2019 will be held from 2-3 December at the Grand Hyatt Manila and is part of the official activities of the 30th South East Asian Games, which would take place during the same time.
“We are delighted to announce our Partnership with TPB Philippines. Sport & Tourism go hand-in-hand and this is no different in the Philippines. Every year, sports has a tremendous economic impact through the hosting of major sporting events as well as tourists entering the country to participate in leisure sporting activities such as golfing, swimming and diving”, said Eric M. Gottschalk, the CEO and Founder of SPIA Asia. “SPIA Asia has always featured a strong segment of Sports & Tourism at the conference and we are excited to have TPB actively contribute to this segment, especially considering the sports-tourism’s impact that the 30th SEA Games should have,” he added.
In order to attract MICE and Sports Tourism to the country, the Philippines’ Tourism Promotions Board is honored to host and support the Asia’s Sports Industry Awards and Conference 2019 in Manila in combination with the Southeast Asian Games.
“The Philippines welcomes all conference delegates in celebrating and congratulating the winners of the prestigious Asia Sports awards,” said Venus Tan, the Chief Operating Officer, Tourism Promotions Board of the Philippines.
Principal attractions at SPIA Asia will be the keynote address by PHISGOC, the organizing committee of the 30th South East Asian Games and the launch of the Asian Sponsorship & Events Association.
SPIA Asia will be an assembling of governing bodies, federations, agencies, rights holders, brands and organizations which strongly contribute and positively influence the sports landscape in Asia.
