Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME), the leading meetings and conventions event in the region, has today announced the launch of the Associations Round Table – an industry-first initiative, challenging associations attending the 2020 Event.
Designed exclusively for associations, the Round Table is an invitation-only event connecting C-suite executives from over 40 organisations across the Asia Pacific region and internationally. Sessions will host engaging discussions, debates and workshops – to create new community and business models that drive association innovation.
Leading the fresh initiative, Jay Martens, Event Director of Talk2 Media and Events, said, In today’s hyperconnected digital world, the industry has, and will, face challenges. The 2020 Knowledge Program is focused on how they approach these, which is why AIME 2020 theme is all about the power of human connections. The Associations Round Table will link key players in the industry to not only discuss these challenges, but also to reinvent and redefine the way they communicate and co-operate.
Traditionally, associations worked independently, focused exclusively on member’s needs. Today, they face common challenges that unites them all. They want them to leave AIME with models that can be applied to their associations in their regions.
In collaboration with Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB), the Associations Round Table will be held over half a day at the 2020 Knowledge Program.
MCB CEO, Julia Swanson, said that they are thrilled to be a part of the first-ever Associations Round Table at AIME – an extraordinary testament to the event’s development and understanding of what the industry needs. There are not many business events so invested in the development of strong networks and communities, and we are very excited to help grow and support AIME in its immeasurable influence across the Asia Pacific region.
Running 17–19 February, AIME is the first event to kick off the 2020 Business Events calendar and is held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
