The Prime Minister of Latvia, Krisjanis Karins met on Tuesday with Chinese Minister of Culture and Tourism, Luo Shugang.
The two sides had thorough discussion regarding development of cultural and tourism exchanges between the two countries.
In this meeting, Luo eulogized China-Latvia's relationship, noting broad perspectives for collaboration in terms of culture and tourism between the two countries.
Luo mentioned that China is interested to work with Latvia in increasing exchanges of recreational tourism and reinforce cooperation in the visual and performing arts, protection of cultural heritage and cultural and creative industries.
For his part, Karins mentioned that Latvia also keen on strengthening and expanding collaboration with China to make sure continuous growth of bilateral ties.
Led by Luo, a delegation of the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism is visiting Latvia from Oct. 21-24 at the invitation of Latvian Economics Minister Ralfs Nemiro.
