Women in Travel CIC, the social enterprise dedicated to empowering women through employability and entrepreneurship in the travel industry, will host a World Travel Market (WTM) Networking Workshop for content creators at Intrepid Travel’s London office from 6pm – 9pm on Tuesday 17th September 2019.
As part of BAME Women in Travel’s ongoing calendar of events, the workshop will share with attendees the most effective networking strategies for World Travel Market to ensure pre, during and post event success.
The workshop will prepare content creators for WTM this November by helping them to establish a timeline of activity for the show with strategic action points for success. Attendees at the workshop will also learn how to ‘cold’ approach travel brands on the day and also gain valuable tips on how a successful follow-up strategy can be applied after attending valuable networking sessions and meetings at WTM.
The informative workshop will be hosted by a five-year veteran attendee of WTM and Executive Director of BAME Women in Travel, Eulanda Shead Osagiede. Eulanda is also co-founder of award-winning travel, food and culture blog Hey! Dip Your Toes In and has previously worked with renowned travel brands such as San Diego Tourism and Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona following initial introductions at WTM.
This informative event which was officially launched earlier this year, assists black, Asian and minority ethnic women in the travel and tourism industry to fulfil their economic and individual potential through customised training and mentoring services aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and employment.
Speaking about the upcoming workshop, Eulanda Shead Osagiede, Executive Director of BAME Women in Travel said: “With over 5,000 exhibitors representing more than 180 destinations at WTM, it’s crucial for content creators to stand out from the crow. This can be done by having a strategy when attending WTM and knowing how to approach, network and follow up with brands they would like to potentially work with. The BAME Women in Travel WTM Networking Workshop has been designed with this in mind and will teach attendees the most effective networking strategies.”
