Carnival Cruise Line released a major update Thursday afternoon regarding how Hurricane Dorian will impact the itineraries of several ships as well as the ports to and from which they sail.
Which Cruise Ships Are Being Impacted By Dorian
Carnival’s Fleet Operations Center in Miami, with guidance from the National Hurricane Center, made several necessary changes to sailings. They also made it clear that while the changes were based on the most current and accurate information available, they were still subject to change as the storm develops in the days to come.
Carnival Breeze: As of now, there are no itinerary changes planned for the August 31st sailing out of Port Canaveral. Guests can receive updates by texting CCL10 to CRUISE (278473).
Carnival Conquest: As of now, there are no itinerary changes planned for the August 31st sailing out of PortMiami. Guests can receive updates by texting CCL8 to CRUISE (278473).
Carnival Ecstasy: As of now, there are no itinerary changes planned for the August 31st sailing out of Jacksonville.
Carnival Elation: The current sailing will, as planned, stop at Nassau on Friday, August 30th. No decision has been made yet as to whether the ship will visit Freeport on Sunday. Should the port be closed on Monday, the ship will be in position to dock as soon as authorities have reopened the port. No word as of yet as to whether the September 2nd sailing out of Port Canaveral will be impacted. Guests should text CCL1 to CRUISE (278473) to receive updates.
Carnival Horizon: No word as of yet as to whether the September 1st sailing out of PortMiami will be impacted. Guests should text CCL5 to CRUISE (278473) to receive updates.
Carnival Liberty: The August 30 sailing is expected to depart as planned, although the ship’s visit to Nassau will be shortened to 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. The September 2nd sailing is still being evaluated. Guests can sign up for alerts by texting CCL2 ot CRUISE (278473).
Carnival Magic: As of now, there are no itinerary changes planned for the August 31st sailing out of Fort Lauderdale. Guests should text CCL9 to CRUISE (278473) to receive updates.
Carnival Miracle: In anticipation of a potential port closure on Sunday, the September 1 sailing will now operate as an 8-day sailing, departing on Saturday evening. Please disregard your scheduled appointments and make plans to arrive at the cruise terminal between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. The ship will sail shortly after on its scheduled itinerary. Guests who can not travel on this extended version of the cruise may cancel and receive a future cruise credit. Guests should text CCL 4 t0 CRUISE (278473) to receive updates.
Carnival Paradise: Guests should disregard their arrival appointment and make plans to arrive at the terminal between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The ship will sail shortly after and remain on the scheduled itinerary. Guests can receive updates by texting CCL11 to CRUISE (278473).
Carnival Sensation: The sailing departing on August 31 out of PortMiami will now visit Grand Turk on September 2, Half Moon Cay on September 3 and Nassau on September 4. Guests can receive updates by texting CCL7 to CRUISE (278473).
Carnival Sunshine: Instead of visiting Princess Cays on Saturday, the ship will now visit Key West from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Should the ship not be able to return to Charleston on Monday if the port is closed, it will be in position to dock as soon as authorities reopen the port. The ship’s next sailing, set to depart from Charleston on September 2, is still being evaluated. Guests expecting to sail should text CCL3 to CRUISE (278473) for updates.
Carnival Victory: The ship will visit Key West on Saturday instead of its original scheduled stop in Nassau. The ship will dock from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Should the port be closed on Monday, the ship will be in position to dock as soon as authorities have reopened the port.
