This September Russia will be hosting two landmark events in the Russian travel industry the OTDYKH 2019 in Moscow General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization in St. Petersberg which will see participation from 156 countries.
The Russian Federation will be hosting the biennial event for the first time.Last year in July, St. Petersburg signed a cooperation memorandum with UNWTO to facilitate the development of cultural, winter and medical tourism as well as technological advances related to the travel industry.
Both the events can be conveniently attended by the visitors as Moscow and St. Petersburg will be connected by a high-speed train covering two cities in 4 hours.
Since 1995, OTDYKH International Travel Mart is Russia’s leading B2B travel and tourism event attended by national and regional tourism agencies, tour operators and private companies.
To showcase more information at the upcoming expo the Republic of Komi and the Republic of Crimea have decided to increase their stands.
Several new-comer Russian regions like the Republic of Buryatia and the Kemerovo Region both located in Serbia, the Primorsky Region in the Far Eastern Federal District and Sakhalin will be welcomed in the expo.
So far, 23 other Russian regions have confirmed the participation in the expo and many more might sign up which might include Republic Of Karelia, Republic of Tartarstan and others.
Around 44 Russian regions participated last year and 40 hosted buyers from across 32 cities in Russia met the exhibitors.
In the Hosted Buyers Program 2019 suppliers will have the opportunity to network with a select group of hosted buyers.
Among 900 participants featured in the expo will be Indonesia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, India, Spain, Greece, Serbia, China, Thailand, Sri Lanka etc. All exhibitors are invited to take part and celebrate the 2019 OTDYKH Leisure trade fair and celebrate 25 years of continued success.
