Again, the Geelong region has been shown off all over Australia and world. Credit goes to the Vic Open Golf tournament at Thirteenth Beach.
The four-day tournament is one of the biggest events of the region and offers a major boost up for tourism and jobs, according to organizers.
It is the only professional tournament that has men and women playing side by side, for equal prize money.
Scotsman David Law asserted the men’s event, finishing at 18-under par, two shots prior to the Australian golfers Brad Kennedy and Wade Ormsby.
France’s Celine Boutier won the women’s tournament.
She finished eight-under par.
A group of three players tied for second, Australians Sarah Kemp and Su Oh, and England’s Charlotte Thomas.
