A seminar was organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain titled: Innovation in the tourism sector, building the tourism sector for smart traveller. This seminar saw the participation of CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), Shaikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa.
The BTEA CEO stressed on Bahrain’s keenness to develop the tourism sector. He laid emphasis on enhancing its regional and global standing that contributes to realising the economic vision 2030. The importance of activities that support cooperation among tourism institutions was also mentioned.
Representatives from travel agencies, hotels and airlines, attended the seminar. The latest developments in the same sector was discussed by a group of speakers of broad experience during the seminar.
The seminar was held in conjunction with the fourth Manama Entrepreneurship Week, and the US Embassy’s Discover America Week.
