Manipur Tourism arranged an on-the-spot painting competition at the City Convention Centre in Imphal as part of observation of the ‘Paryatan Parv’. It started from September 16 and will continue till 27th of September, 2018, in the state.
Also, a Heritage Walk at Khongjom was conducted as part of the ongoing celebrations.
The Paryatan Parv 2018 celebrations in Manipur started with a Heritage Walk at Kangla on September 16, 2018. Also, a Heritage Walk will be organized at Marjing, Heingang, Imphal East on September 23, 2018 .
Artists who competed in 3 categories, upto Class X, Class XI to Graduate, and Open Category participated in the on-the-spot painting competition at the City Convention Centre. The final result of the competition will be announced on September 24, 2018 and will be available at www.manipurtourism.gov.in and on the Facebook page of Manipur Tourism.
The prizes will be distributed on the World Tourism Day celebrations in the state on 27th September 2018 .
‘Paryatan Parv’ is observed all over the country from the 16th to 27thSeptember 2018 under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and in partnership with other Central Ministries and State Governments.
The celebration is targeted at luring on the benefits of tourism while emphasizing the cultural diversity of the country and reinforcing the principle of “Tourism for All”.
