Ει βούλει καλώς ακούειν, μάθε καλώς λέγειν, μαθών δε καλώς λέγειν, πειρώ καλώς πράττειν, και ούτω καρπώση το καλώς ακούειν. (Επίκτητος)

NEW ORLEANS, LA – Marriott International, Inc. announced that a combined 74-suite SpringHill Suites and 105-suite TownePlace Suites will open today in downtown New Orleans. Located at 1600 Canal Street, the hotels will operate as Marriott franchises owned and managed by NewcrestImage of Lewisville, Texas.
The hotels will offer complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi and will feature a combined lobby lounge, rooftop wellness center, and an elevated rooftop bar, Vue. Vue will offer small eats and feature craft cocktails, two fireplaces and uninterrupted views of the city of New Orleans.
Located on the Canal streetcar line, the hotels will offer guests easy access to numerous restaurants, shops and entertainment venues. Additionally, they are just 11 miles from Louis Armstrong International Airport and are nearby local hot spots such as the French Quarter/Bourbon Street, University Medical Center and the National World War II Museum.
"Attracting both business travelers as well as tourists, the downtown New Orleans area is an ideal location for the dual opening," said Janis Milham, senior vice president, Marriott Classic Select Brands. "Each brand offers distinct amenities and services that tailor to all visitors."
The properties have also put several green initiatives in place to help conserve energy and reduce their carbon footprint and plan to work with several local businesses to bring health and wellness programs to both guests and locals who visit the hotel.
