In Vietnam, MICE is growing rapidly and has become a major trend in recent times.
 
MICE tourism or alternatively known as Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events is a type of tourism that merges these four elements. Currently, for partners and employees, it is a regular affair for enterprises to reserve MICE tours as kind of an incentive.

 
With different elements together, making them perfect for a wide range of people, tourists for MICE tours in large groups travel together for majority of times, staying for longer duration of time and higher consumption in comparison to small groups of tourists on other trips. MICE tourism can contribute to the national economy vividly, particularly in developing countries.

 
As per a recent survey, every year on average, there are over 5 million meetings, conferences, and events in the world with total consumption reaching up to US$7 billion respectively.

 
In the world, the US organizes majority of meetings, conferences and events. In Southeast Asia, Thailand and Singapore are the two countries that have been immensely successful in MICE tourism.

 
On average, MICE trips European tourists generate US$700-1,000 every day. As in Asia, the statistics goes to US$400 per day.

 
In 2014, as per the figures from the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, Thailand arranged 103 international commercial exhibitions, and many commercial trade fairs, which occupied many booths in agriculture, food, automation, healthcare, and infrastructure field.
