Lunar New Year is the first day of a year whose months are coordinated by the cycles of the moon. Also known as the Spring Festival in China, this is a movable celebration, dictated by the lunar cycle. This is the Year of the Dog, beginning February 16, 2018.
Bringing in the spirit of new beginnings, Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai is geared up to usher in a prosperous and abundant Year of the Dog with a specially crafted festive feasting menu by Chef Lin Lin Yang from Beijing, at the award-winning San:Qi.
Enjoy an exquisite dining experience with sweet and savoury Chinese delights, right from the chef’s table. Relish the traditional crab meat and egg white dumpling or the yu sheng salad, which is ceremoniously tossed to good fortune with an appetising mix of interesting ingredients including smoked salmon, crispy vermicelli, shredded radish and beetroot.
Chef Lin recommends the Sichuan-style basa fish, and the dao xiao mian (sliced noodles) at the live station. Since both fish and noodles are traditionally considered lucky foods and represent prosperity and longevity respectively, there are more reasons than one to try these. End the meal on a sweet note with mooncakes, which are an indispensable part of any Spring Festival menu.
