Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island joins in celebration as its near neighbour Louvre Abu Dhabi marks the first 100 days since first opening its doors to the public on November 11, 2017.
Located on Saadiyat Island, world-renowned French architect Jean Nouvel masterminded a museum-city under a vast silvery dome where guests can walk through the promenades overlooking the sea beneath a 180-metre diameter dome, composed of almost 8,000 unique metal stars set into a complex geometric pattern that evokes wonder among visitors.
Thoughtfully designed to resemble an Arabian medina, guests can wander the narrow streets of the museum spaces, choosing to explore up to 23 detached buildings housing dedicated galleries, the design of which are inspired by the low-lying homes of the local region. Exterior facades overlooking both sea and the Abu Dhabi skyline encourage considered walks and conversation.
Louvre Abu Dhabi hosts four temporary exhibitions per year. As part of the unique collaboration between Abu Dhabi and France, they are organised and created by thirteen French museum partners, exclusively for visitors to Louvre Abu Dhabi. On display are the collections of artworks and artifacts and that span the entirety of human existence: from prehistoric objects to commissioned contemporary artworks.
Admission gives visitors access to the museum galleries, exhibitions, children’s museum and public spaces underneath the dome. Tickets can be purchased online or on-site upon arrival.
