Austrian Airlines trains a large number of apprentices in a wide range of business areas each year. Particularly exciting is the “Aircraft Technology” division, where Austrian Airlines is once again accepting 15 apprentices for the training program in the technical training workshop. In addition, five apprentices will be accepted for training as office clerk. The apprenticeship can also be combined with Matura in cooperation with the BFI Lower Austria. There are currently 47 apprentices in training at Austrian Airlines.

The requirements for the candidates include:

The training period for aircraft technicians is 3.5 years, for office clerk 3 years. The training includes practice-oriented “on the job training”, a theoretical training in the vocational school and further education internal and external seminars such as technical English. The amount of apprentice compensation in the first year of apprenticeship is currently € 514.84 gross per month.
