Norwegian Cruise ship breaks down and an 11 day cruise turned into a three week nightmare for some travellers.
The Norwegian Gem cruise ship left port on Halloween for a trip to the Caribbean and on the sixth day the ship broke down in Barbados.
Some passengers were flown home, but others who have medical issues were put up in hotels until the ship could sail. A few folks were gone so long, they got fired from their jobs.
The administration of Norwegian Cruise sincerely apologized for this unexpected change to the ship’s itinerary and its impact on their guests.
As a consolation, Norwegian Cruise offered passengers 25% off their next cruise purchase.
