Port Canaveral has been chosen to host two more of Royal Caribbean’s ships, including a return to the port by Mariner of the Seas. Oasis-class Harmony of the Seas will also be sailing from the port, beginning in 2019 to offer 7-night eastern and western Caribbean itineraries.

Harmony of the Seas will be relocated to Port Canaveral from Port Everglades in May 2019. She is currently the largest ship in the world and the newest to Royal Caribbean’s fleet, offering the tallest slide at sea, water slides, and a kid’s water park called Splashaway Bay. The vessel holds 6,687 guests in 2,747 cabins with a crew of 2,100.

Mariner of the Seas will return to Port Canaveral following a $100 million upgrade. The ship has 1,557 cabins and holds nearly 4,200 guests with a crew of 1,181. She will replace Majesty of the Seas which is currently sailing from Port Canaveral. Mariner first arrived in Port Canaveral as a brand new Voyager-class ship in 2003, and sailed her inaugural cruise from the port on November 14, 2003.

In addition, Oasis of the Seas will be leaving Port Canaveral in 2019 and move to Miami.
