Our Georgia & Armenia 2027 trips are live
Our trips to Georgia and Armenia are part of our range of Slow & Intentional trips that explore a destination without rushing, and by spending more time with the women who make it special.
We'll drink too much natural wine with women who are forging new paths in the wine industry, learn how to make the most delicious foods with the village grandmas, talk conflict and grassroots support with two sisters, visit monasteries and churches in the most scenic spots and simply sit back and do as locals do: enjoy the present with loved ones.

Our 7-day trip in Armenia will uncover the country's best monasteries, traditions, heritage, landscapes and food while supporting and showcasing passionate women and their projects.

When: 12 to 18 September, 2027 right after our Georgia tour so you can combine them both if you want to
How long: 7 days / 6 nights
Who: Maximum of 14 guests.
Inclusions: 6 nights of accommodation; all meals with house wine except for 3 dinners, so you can indulge in abundant and delicious lunches. All activities, visits and tickets, plus all tipping except for tips for the guide.

Here's what you can expect on the trip:
1. UNESCO-listed monasteries and churches
 |
Armenia is known for its stunning monasteries and churches, many of which are located in breathtaking locations that seem to defy gravity and logic.
We will visit some of the country's holiest sites, some of which are UNSCO world heritage listed, among which the location where the saint credited with bringing Christianity to Armenia was imprisoned, a monastery carved from the rock side and one perched at the end of a scenic outcrop.
We will also visit an archeological site believed to be a pre-historic astronomical observatory, the only preserved Hellenistic temple in the former Soviet Union, and the site of the oldest winery, dating back 6,100 years.
2. Gastronomic masterclasses

Food is an important part of Armenia's cultural heritage and the result of heavy Middle Eastern, European and Turkish influences.
Flat lavash bread, which has been inscribed as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO, is a key element of every meal and we will learn how to make it, in a traditional underground oven. We will also make a stuffed pumpkin dish that is synonymous with abundance, and gata, the omnipresent sweet cake / pastry.
We will also visit a female owned winery bringing back lost grape varieties that were abandoned during Soviet times and the country's most famous brandy distillery, believed to have been Churchill's favorite.

3. 100% female local immersion
 |
We will spend most of the trip in the company of strong Armenian women who are shaping the country's outlook, preserving and bringing back its heritage and sharing it with locals and visitors.
We will participate in several masterclasses to cook traditional and auspicious foods, learn how Armenian carpets are weaved, try traditional costumes from the various regions, and learn about the strong women who have changed Armenia.
We will talk about the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh and how it impacts Armenians on a daily basis, about how women who are taking the country forward, and the fragile balance that holds the country together amidst border disputes and regional conflicts. We will talk about Armenia's painful past and hopeful future.
4. Beautiful landscapes

Armenia's high altitude desert weather, black basalt and red tufa stone combination and fertile valleys make it one of the most picturesque destinations.
Holy Ararat Mountain, now in Turkey, stands tall against Yerevan's skyline and the vineyard region of west Armenia provides contrast to the canyons and gorges.
We will take the world's longest cable car, drive through mountain passes and narrow gorges and enjoy the best views a road trip can provide.
5. Vibrant and cosmopolitan Yerevan

We will discover Yerevan on foot through its cosmopolitan avenues, grand squares, Soviet Art Deco architecture and monumental projects.
We will also sample its food, wander its alleys and get lost in the food markets and the vibrant street art.
We will spend more of the time in the capital city, with ample opportunity to enjoy the nightlife or do as locals do and stroll around Republic Square and surrounding areas.

Our 2027 Georgia trip

Georgia is one of the last unexplored foodie wonders in Europe.
A destination that will surprise you with every bite, even if you have seen it all.
Food and wine are just grown, cooked and eaten differently here, and their culinary tradition cannot be compared to any other place in the world.
We will spend a lot of time with Georgian women, getting to know this country that sits at the crossroads between Asia and Europe, and has had to fight for its independence and uniqueness in a way very few other places have.
This is also the cradle of wine, the place where it all started 8,000 years ago; A rich culture with its own incomparable language and script.

The details
1.Wine workshops, natural wine tasting and winery visits

This is a trip for wine lovers who want to go back to where wine was first discovered 8,000 years ago.
Wine in Georgia is made differently than anywhere else; it is fermented in traditional qvevry clay vessels underground and in contact with the skin. Forget everything you knew about wine making, Georgia forged its own path.
We will start with a wine sommelier to get an intro into Georgian wines and meet with four female wine makers throughout the week, each with their own personal style and approach, including a micro producer who will share her fewer than 500 bottle production with us via a mindful wine tasting.
2. Culinary orgasms

Food in Georgia is seasonal, fresh, glorious and unlike any other cuisine.
We will indulge in soupy meat dumplings, flat breads filled with cheese, nut snacks, breads of all kinds, lots and lots of cheese and so many local herbs and vegetables you have never heard of before but will immediately be a fan of.
Best of all, we will learn how to make many of these from expert female chefs so you can enjoy them back home too.
3. Cooking classes

We will learn to cook celebratory stuffed pumpkins, Churchkhela (grape sweet covered walnuts), Khachapuri (boat bread with cheese and egg), traditional bread, and so much more.
Georgian cuisine is quite unique. It reflects influences from the Silk Road, the Persian Empire, the Romans and Greeks...but it has evolved with its own personality.

4. Tbilisi
 |
The capital of Georgia is a melting pot of East and West, creativity and tradition, street art and innovation. We will spend some time getting to know it closely through the women that are taking it into the 21st century.
We will explore its streets, its fortress, the cathedrals and churches, the modern bridges and the culinary scene.

5. Sulphur baths
Sulphur baths are a traditional part of Georgian wellness rituals and give name to the capital city.
The sulphur is naturally occurring and flows under Tbilisi. We will spend an afternoon at the baths, in our private suites, followed by a traditional massage called kisa, similar to the Moroccan hammam experience.

6. Rock hewn towns
Georgia is famous for its towns carved from the mountain side and we will be left speechless at the oldest of them, Uplistsikhe, parts of which were built in the Iron Age, that is more than 4,000 years ago.
We will visit the town, exploring its caves and various structures, and the more modern basilica. The entire complex is listed as a World Heritage Site.

7. Horse riding, hiking and 4x4 adventure
Georgia's borders are delimited by the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountain range, often in the background, towering under the clouds.
We will enjoy time outdoors, hiking, horse riding and going on a 4x4 adventure in the national park in search of gazelle and other wildlife.
