NEW YORK – This month, The Beekman, a Thompson Hotel will unveil two new Turret Penthouse Suites atop the historic building on 5 Beekman Street in Downtown Manhattan. The most recent suite additions, designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, come shortly after the iconic hotel’s one-year anniversary and marks the completion of the renovations to the landmarked building.
Set on the rooftop of The Beekman, the two remarkable suites tower high above Beekman Street below. To access the 1,200 sq. ft. suites, guests will arrive through a private entryway from the 10th floor of the hotel. Upon entering, the two-floor Turret Penthouse Suites feature 40 ft. pitched ceilings accentuated by stately 19th century beaux-arts movement chandeliers. The intricate ironwork and crystal in the fixtures reflect the eclectic style of the living space below, which seamlessly blends luxurious and vintage furnishings with rich, industrial finishes.
The first floor welcomes guests with a lavish lounge and spacious dining area complemented by an antique stone fireplace, along with a premium wet bar, powder room and marble bathroom. The second floor mezzanine looks down upon the entertaining space and features an imposing king size bed and freestanding soaking tub. Dark stained wood paneling and aged oak floors run throughout the rooms. Bright accents of color in the furnishings and curated original artwork adorning the walls offset the deep hues.
Multiple windows give a light and airy feel throughout the Penthouses and 800 sq. ft. private terraces provide breathtaking views of the New York skyline, including City Hall Park, the Woolworth Building and One World Trade Center. A lush outdoor terrace connects the suites, which are also an ideal place for private events, dinners and special occasions.
The luxury Turret Penthouse Suites start at $6,500/night and offer complimentary amenities such as a dedicated Concierge team, American breakfast, luxury round-trip airport transfer, premium honor bar and exclusive access to a choice of luxury Lexus vehicles. In room features include a selection of Bang & Olufsen speakers, luxurious sateen Sferra linens and exclusive D.S. & Durga bath amenities. The suites are available to book now with stays beginning in October.
The Beekman currently offers upscale accommodations, two onsite restaurants, Temple Court and Augustine, The Bar Room bar and lounge and a variety of event spaces. The historic building underwent extensive renovation over three years, which also included the restoration of its trademark nine-story, Victorian atrium and glass skylight.
The Beekman is located at 123 Nassau Street, New York, New York 10038.
