AUSTIN, TX—Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa has unveiled plans for a renovation and expansion, in excess of $150 million, that will fully transform the property into a 493-room retreat.
Design-build firm The Beck Group will lead the resort’s evolution beginning November 13, with a targeted completion date in mid-2019. The news coincides with Omni Barton Creek’s 30th anniversary.
Taking inspiration from the landscape of the Austin Hill Country, the renovation’s overall design will blur the lines between indoor and outdoor experiences, according to the company.
Highlights of the renovation include a newly added resort tower, redesigned existing guestrooms, a new conference center and ballroom, a new event Pavilion, six new dining outlets, a brand new Mokara Spa, a new lobby experience, an expanded pool scape, a new golf clubhouse, golf course renovations and a new tennis complex.
The signature feature of the multimillion-dollar renovation will be the addition of a second hotel tower, which includes 180 luxury appointed guestrooms and suites, each with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the surrounding Hill Country.
