Sydney Harbour of Australia is offering a new service to those who love shopping. The passengers who want to avoid the congested roads, trains and the buses in the inner west, the small cruise services will be another option to travel.
The biggest audience of Shopper Hopper , a ferry service for shoppers to Birkenhead Point in Drummoyne and Harbourside Shopping Centre, which is believed to be residents using the ferries to commute.
This 20-minute service between Birkenhead Point and either Circular Quay or Darling Harbour runs daily from 9.30am to 4.30pm for the short term transportation.
Mirvac Retail national manager, tourism and destinations Gemma Bosworth said that there are the majority of the guests, which are local and international shoppers looking to experience the views of the Sydney Harbour as well as enjoy a seamless, stress-free and unique shopping experience at Birkenhead Point and or Harbourside Shopping Centre. The passengers can use the service, with tickets able to be purchased at the time of boarding or online.
Shopper Hopper will celebrate its first birthday on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and anyone celebrating a birthday will ride for free.
There will be giveaway birthday cookies and a digital Polaroid photographer on board.
It is estimated that there are more than 12,000 guests have used the service. The services arrive at Birkenhead Point from Circular Quay and Darling Harbour, with departures to Circular Quay at 9.30am, 11.30, 2pm and 3pm daily and to Darling Harbour at 10.30am, 1pm and 4pm.
