Cairns Port, is a major sea port located on the Trinity Inlet serving the water transportation for cargoes and the tourism to the cities of Cairns, Queensland and Australia is all set to welcome 10 cruise ships in the month of September 2017.

P&O’s Pacific Eden docked overnight on Saturday, Pacific Explorer made its maiden visit on Sunday and Pacific Aria docked on Monday and left yesterday.

The busy schedule of the port means the traffic of the Carnis is set on equivalence with busier southern ports such as Brisbane.

Ports North spokeswoman Kerry Egerton said the Port of Cairns would also host the Sea Princess and Sun Princess this month.

Pacific Eden will make four more cruise visits and Pacific Aria will arrive for another spell to boost the local tourism.

Ms Egerton said that the Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal and the staff of the port will be maintaining the reputation as a fast, efficient and welcoming arrival point and turnaround base for the ships. He also added that the months ahead will persist to keep up the pace, with another 17 cruise ships arriving by Christmas.

This includes another maiden visit, by the ship AIDAcara, on December 25. It wraps up a record year of arrivals for 2017 with 60 cruise ships into the port.

Sea Swift Chief Engineer Nicky Savino is now working on the tugboat called MT Arjuna and commented on how busy Cairns port had been this month.

He also said that the cruise ships allowed the people to visit not only other cities in Australia, but all over the world
