The World Tourism Forum announced the top 100 companies in the world travel & tourism industry at a press conference before the ‘World Tourism Forum Global Meeting, scheduled to take place at the Istanbul Congress Centre (ICC) on February 16-18. To quote Bulut Bağcı, the World Tourism Forum’s Chairman of the Board, “Announcement of the leading tourism companies with such a serious analysis will be a decisive factor for our 2017 vision.
In this sense, we are aware of the World Tourism Forum Global Meeting’s contribution to the industry as a platform that grows and develops on a year-to-year basis. It is pleasing for all of us to see that the Turkish Airlines, as a pride of Turkey, ranks as one of the top companies.” He said that the World Tourism Forum provided Turkey with a USD 75 million economic momentum emphasizing that they would host tourism and culture ministers of 20 countries at the Global Meeting.
This global meet will feature world renowned speakers along with key social media trends. The revenue-based ‘Tourism 100’ report reviewed tourism advertising expenditures in Turkey, Europe and the Americas, and provided detailed information about the 10 highest-spending countries. The global meet will get to see renowned names like Zuckerberg Media founder Randi Zuckerberg and David Miliband, former Foreign Secretary and the President and CEO of International Rescue Committee (IRC) among others.
