Norwegian Cruise Line is all geared up for an exciting week-long cruise dedicated to marine life conservation thanks to Guy Harvey, a reputed sea life environmentalist.
Harvey is the person who had helped design the hull art on the largest ship of the Norwegian known as the Escape. He is actually the head of Guy Ocean Foundation and Nova Southeastern University’s Guy Harvey Research Institute. This organization had funded the scientific research for marine wildlife and also offered certain educational programs.
Andy Stuart who is the president and CEO of Norwegian stated that Norwegian’s inherent virtues include sustainability as well as conservation.
Therefore, it educates its guests on the significance of marine conservation and help ensure that the future generations would leverage the benefits of a balanced ocean ecosystem. Stuart said that Guy Harvey is a great partner and he harbors an unsurpassed passion for oceans.
The Escape would set sail from Miami on 21st October for 7 nights.
It is scheduled to make stopovers in Nassau, Bahamas,Tortola, B.V.I. and St. Thomas. This ship is enriched with 1,000 feet of many of the original artwork with marine creatures including turtles, stingrays, giant sailfish and so on. Norwegian Escape is now the largest billboard for the conservation of marine life that ushers in a fresh degree of awareness not only for the cruise travellers but also for people who look at her.
Harvey said that the subject of his artworks is the beauty of the oceans.
The special events include certain discussions on marine life conservation, the making of a shark documentary as well as shark tracking and shark tagging. Art lovers would also be able to enjoy a few of the painting tricks of painting tricks of Harvey live.
Norwegian Escape had debuted in 2015 and would be able to carry over 4,200 passengers and 1,700 crew members. It sails year-round from Miami.
