LINDT & Sprungli is kicking off the new year with another premium promotional partnership with Dufry. The two leading travel retail players will exclusively pre-launch the new LINDT Swiss Masterpieces Bijoux Collection.
The Swiss Masterpieces Bijoux Collection, which is exclusively pre-launched with Dufry, is a limited edition in the travel retail exclusive Swiss Masterpieces range. It includes two new pralines, created by the LINDT Swiss Master Chocolatiers: Perle de Cuivre - crunchy cocoa bits and cookie chunks, enveloped in an aromatic fondant, coated with white and dark chocolate and garnished with a shimmering copper-coloured pearl; and Pepites d‘Or – a melt-in-the-mouth almond praline accented with crisp Amaretti, coated in dark chocolate with highlights of golden sprinkles. Presented in sumptuous packaging in eye-catching turquoise, the collection makes the ideal premium gift.
The full Swiss Masterpieces range will be available at airports around the world. At Zurich airport, the flagship of the LINDT Duty Free business and the home of the LINDT Swiss Master Chocolatiers, there will be an exclusive promotion. Adding extra appeal to the range as the ideal brand gift, passengers who buy any three items from the Swiss Masterpieces range at Zurich airport will receive a stunning personalised pendant, which can be engraved at the store with a name or message of the passengers’ choice. There are three distinctive pendant shapes to choose from: a heart, a circle or a rectangle.
This latest initiative follows two global launches in 2016: the launch of the Swiss Masterpieces range at Zurich Airport, and the successful partnership with Dufry, which launched the Heavenly LINDOR and Heavenly Napolitains range with the new Stracciatella flavour.
Peter Zehnder, head of the Lindt & Sprungli global duty free division said: “Our focus is on premium partnerships and excellent execution at POS. We know that more and more passengers are looking for premium gifts at the airport, so this partnership with Dufry and launch of our award-winning pralines represents the perfect opportunity for LINDT and Dufry to work together again.”
Phillipe Moryl, global category head food, confectionary, souvenirs & toys at Dufry, added: “We are delighted about this exclusive pre-launch that perfectly reflects our strategy to closely collaborate with our brand partners to offer travellers a unique experience in travel retail. It is crucial for our end customers and airport partners to propose products that are exclusive to travel retail and to Dufry, and that cannot be found in the domestic market. Our collaboration with LINDT has already proved this concept works very successfully and we look forward to developing it further.”
