Fincantieri that is the Italian shipbuilder and also China State Shipbuilding Corporation have entered into an agreement with Carnival Corporation to construct two cruise vessels for the fast-expanding China cruise market under an agreement that is valued at $1.5 billion.
The joint venture of Carnival’s collaboration with the China company also comes with an option to construct four more ships.
The design of the ships that would be delivered from the year 2023 would be tailored for the ‘specific tastes of the Chinese travellers’, said the companies on Wednesday.
