Continuing the expansion of their popular longer sailings called Carnival Journeys, Carnival Cruise Line has announced a 14-day Alaskan adventure roundtrip from Long Beach. Carnival Splendor will visit places like Icy Strait Point, Hubbard Glacier, Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau, Sitka, and Victoria, BC.
The voyage will depart on August 25, and return September 8, 2018.
In addition to unique opportunities and historic landmarks, each destination offers natural wonders like glaciers, fjords, and native sea and land animal life. A wide variety of excursions – from helicopter flight seeing and rainforest canopy tours to hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and snorkeling will also be available.
The 14-day Carnival Journeys cruise will also feature unique experience aboard the ship, and activities will focus on topics like cooking, photography, crafts, and a 1980s-themed “Throwback Sea Day.” Guests will be able to enjoy a dome-covered pool area, a classic American steakhouse, the Cloud 9 Spa, and the youth clubs for kids.
This 14-day voyage complements Carnival’s wide range of Alaska itineraries, which also includes a two-week voyage from Long Beach aboard Carnival Miracle in September 2017 and 38 seven and eight-day cruises aboard Carnival Legend in summer and fall 2017 and 2018.
