As many as five million Russian holidaymakers are believed to visit some of the most favored tourist destinations of Turkey, particularly the ones based on Agean and Mediterranean Seas, as asserted by the largest tour operator of Russia, Anex Tour.
The head of Anex Tour mentioned at the World Tourism Forum in Moscow that of the 5.5 million tourists that are expected to arrive in Turkey, 5 million would be Russian.
He added that a million of these vacationers would book their vacations with Anex Tour. This proves that the Russian tourists have missed Turkey especially after they were compelled to look forward to other travel destinations in 2015.
Russian holidaymakers are believed to leverage this sizeable discount packages that are provided by Turkish hotels.
This is one of the major factors that are responsible for the increase in early booking numbers.
