JacTravel, the UK-based B2B travel wholesaler, best-known for hotels online and European inbound travel services, has opened an office in Beijing, headed up by Jenny Fu, Sales Director, who is supported by Fei Ren, Sales Manager, and Justin Zhang, Client Technical Support Analyst.
This follows a successful drive to secure new clients in China, which has resulted in contracts with several leading players including, in the business to consumer (B2C) segment, Ctrip, Qunar, Tuniu, U-tour and Caissa Travel and, in the B2B segment, Dida
The new Beijing office is in addition to JacTravel’s established office in Hong Kong which has been building a portfolio of locally-sourced hotels led by Abba Lee. That portfolio has since grown to 250 directly contracted properties in China, of which 74 are in Beijing and 60 are in Shanghai – it also has a further 650 indirectly contracted properties and ambitious targets to expand the Chinese portfolio further.
JacTravel’s CEO, Terry Williamson said: “Jenny and Fei have absolutely crashed into this incredibly vibrant market for wholesale hotel accommodation and rapidly built relationships with several major Chinese travel companies. Their target for 2017 is to double the size of the business and given their outstanding start, I have every confidence they will achieve it.”
Earlier this year, JacTravel won a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise based on strong export growth. Since 2012, it has won several awards for customer service and business excellence and consistently featured in rankings by the Sunday Times of high growth companies.
