Ει βούλει καλώς ακούειν, μάθε καλώς λέγειν, μαθών δε καλώς λέγειν, πειρώ καλώς πράττειν, και ούτω καρπώση το καλώς ακούειν. (Επίκτητος)

The Edinburgh-Athens service provides passengers with a direct link to the Greek capital but also onward connectivity throughout the Greek islands and mainland Greece. Over and above the domestic connections, Edinburgh-Athens service offers a high number of connecting opportunities to cities in the neighbouring countries such as Cyprus and the Balkans.
Business class passengers and Star Alliance Gold card members will have business lounge access at Edinburgh Airport. Star Alliance Gold card members are also eligible for one extra piece of luggage as per booking class booked.
Athens is one of the world's oldest cities, with its recorded history spanning around 3,400 years. Classical Athens was a centre for the arts, learning and philosophy, home of Plato's Academy and Aristotle's Lyceum; it is widely referred to as the cradle of Western civilization and the birthplace of democracy. Today, a cosmopolitan metropolis, modern Athens is central to economic, financial, industrial, political and cultural life in Greece.
Gordon Dewar, Edinburgh Airport’s Chief executive said: “Athens is one of the world's oldest cities and Edinburgh is often known as The Athens of the North – so this exciting new route is sure to be welcomed by passengers from both Scotland and Greece.
“Aegean Airlines has shown great ambition to expand here at Edinburgh Airport as we continue to deliver more routes and destinations than ever before.”
