The Summit of Investments Ecuador 2016 will be held on October 25 and 26 in Quito to promote commercial links. Around 300 national and foreign businessmen will gather attend the Summit.
According to the Institute of Promotion of Exports and Investments (Proecuador), besides the local representatives, the attendance of experts of Germany, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Spain, Holland, Peru, the United States, Argentina, Guatemala, Chile, India, Japan, France, Russia, Turkey and United Kingdom is expected.
Leaders and politicians of the nation like President Rafael Correa will also participate in the program.
According to organizers, the venue is attractive both for nationals and foreigners as at present Ecuador has the best environment for business in the region and a wide portfolio of investments in eight strategic sectors, as well as attractive benefits.
On the closing day, 26 foreign investors will take a field trip.
The Secretary General of the Union of South American Nations (Unasur), Ernesto Samper and the Minister of Foreign Trade, Juan Carlos Cassinelli will be in-charge of the inauguration ceremony.
A master lecture will be given by Boaitjan Skalar, executive director of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (Waipa). The Minister coordinator of Production, Employment and Competitiveness, Vinicio Alvarado will also speak on ‘The investment Environment in Ecuador’.
