Dallas Fort Worth International Airport welcomes new flight to Vancouver from Air Canada Express
In San Francisco, almost everything is flying high: real estate, start-ups and now, the airport.
Air Canada announced new daily non-stop flight between Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport and Vancouver beginning on February 6, 2017. Air Canada will operate the Dallas Fort Worth to Vancouver route under its Air Canada Express brand.
"We are pleased to see Air Canada expand on its existing service with this new flight to Vancouver," said John Ackerman, executive vice president for Global Strategy and Development at DFW Airport. "This new service offers customers additional travel choices to one of North America's most picturesque cities, as well as additional travel options for customers wanting quick access to Western Canada and points beyond from Air Canada's Vancouver hub."
Air Canada currently serves DFW with daily flights to Toronto from Terminal E, and the new Vancouver flights will also operate out of Terminal E. The Air Canada flights will be originating from a newly renovated section of Terminal E, which features a variety of concession options to further enhance the overall customer experience. Some of the newly opened concessions include Love Shack, Texas celebrity chef Tim Love's burger joint at E11, along with Marshall-Rousso, offering women's fashion at E12, and Camille's Ice Cream Bars located at E13.

Serving a region whose economy is fueled by the technology industry, San Francisco International Airport is embarking on a $5.7 billion expansion as it grapples with traffic that has nearly doubled in nine years. The city’s sale next week of $881 million in airport bonds, its biggest ever, is the first in a series that will draw demand from municipal investors who’ve snapped up airline-related debt, leaving the securities on pace to outperform the overall municipal market for a sixth straight year.
Overall, airports have benefited from lower fuel costs and the recovering U.S. economy, as higher numbers of passengers boost collections from parking fees and bar tabs. San Francisco’s airport is seeing even more travelers, thanks in part to Silicon Valley.
