Royal Caribbean’s cruise ship Grandeur of the Seas has received a perfect health inspection score by the United States Public Health department recently.
To earn 100, ships must receive perfect marks on all 44 items on the department’s checklist. The inspections are unannounced and take place twice a year for all ships that call in a US port. They’re evaluated in a range of areas, including galley cleanliness, obeying proper food handling rules and storage procedures, and more. The water supplies used in pools and spas are evaluated as well.
Grandeur is one of Royal’s Vision-class ships, launched in 1996. She holds over 2,400 passengers and is currently operating cruises to Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean from Baltimore, Maryland.
