airberlin continues to expand its hub in Berlin-Tegel with two attractive non-stop destinations on the West Coast of the U.S. - Los Angeles and San Francisco. Berlin’s largest airline will also be increasing the frequency of its services to New York, Chicago and Miami.
As from 1 May 2017, there will be four weekly airberlin flights to San Francisco, and from 2 May 2017 the airline will be flying three times a week to Los Angeles; airberlin will be the only airline offering non-stop flights to these two cities from Berlin.
As from this winter, there will be more long-haul services from Berlin to Chicago, Miami and New York. There will be a daily flight to New York (JFK). From summer 2017, airberlin will be flying ten times a week to the biggest city in the U.S. This winter, the service frequency to Chicago will be increased by adding a Thursday flight, taking the total number of flights per week to five. There will also be more flights to Miami as from this winter, with the number of weekly flights rising to four. For the first time, the airline will also be operating this service in the summer months, meaning that from next summer there will be three weekly flights to Florida all year round.
The new flights will be operated with Airbus A330-200 aircraft, configured with 19 Business Class seats and 271 Economy Class seats, of which 46 will be XL seats with more legroom.
