The Independent Lodging Congress, the yearly hospitality conference for thought leaders in the independent hotel space, announces its fourth annual Congress, taking place from October 26-28, 2016, atThe High Line Hotel in New York City.
This year’s event will recognize Chip Conley, Head of Global Hospitality & Strategy at Airbnb, for the 2016 “Start Something” Award presented by Big Brothers Big Sisters.
The Independent Lodging Congress is a two-and-a-half-day event featuring an extensive roster of innovators in hospitality and beyond. This year’s format will include a variety of thought-provoking panels, breakouts, case studies, lively social events and more, focused on leading independent industry trends and insights with topics including:

As part of the Independent Lodging Congress’ annual INDIE Awards, hospitality veteran Chip Conley will be awarded the 2016 Start Something Award for his tireless contributions and innovation in the lifestyle industry. Currently the Head of Global Hospitality & Strategy at Airbnb, Conley is also the founder and former CEO of Joie de Vivre and a New York Times bestselling author for his book, “EMOTIONAL EQUATIONS: Simple Truths for Creating Happiness + Success.” Past award winners include Niki Leondakis of Commune Hotels & Resorts and Bunkhouse Group’s Liz Lambert.
