V Air, a Taiwanese low-cost carrier, launched its first Taipei- Manila route today at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) 1.
The maiden flight took off with over 80% load factor from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, and marks another expansion in its network for this year 2016.
“We at V Air are delighted to witness the 9th scheduled service from the Taipei-Manila route. As the first Taiwanese low-cost airline to tap the ever-growing Philippine market, we are looking forward to be the preferred airline of the traveling Filipino on a budget. Our operations in Manila will be significant in securing a strong foothold in the region,” shares V Air Chief Commercial Officer, Bernard Hsu.
V Air’s Manila-Taipei service, the carrier’s third route in Asia, will operate four flights weekly, every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. A travel to and from both cities is estimated at a two-hour flying time.
