ILTM Japan 2016 delivers a record 3000 business generating meetings for the luxury travel industry

ILTM Japan 2016 closed today in Tokyo, with the announcement that a record number of over 3000 one-to-one business meetings have taken place during the last two days – more than double the 2015 event.

The event welcomed 84 exhibitors from 25 countries who met with both Japanese and international luxury travel agents – 39 Japanese buyers were hosted, 65% of whom were new attendees to this fourth edition of ILTM Japan. The event is unique in introducing international brands to the unique culture of Japanese high-end travellers today via one-to-one pre scheduled and mutually matched appointments.

ILTM Japan 2016 took place for the first time at the Conrad Hotel Tokyo.  A topical and inspirational Opening Forum session launched the event on Monday 29 February, setting the Japanese inbound and outbound luxury travel scene and buoyant economic outlook.  Two days of business generating meetings followed:  international exhibitors meeting accredited Japanese buyers and Japanese exhibitors meeting accredited international buyers.

Ivy Kwan of One&Only  - a first time exhibitor at ILTM Japan - said:
