A new B2C booking engine, which meets the specific faith-based needs of Muslim travelers, was officially launched to the global travel trade at last week’s ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel business event.
Tripfez, the new booking site will help the travel trade sell halal-friendly tours to an untapped global Muslim travel market worth some $142 billion annually.
This cuting-edge platform allows the trade to register their Muslim-friendly tours and then manage their allocations, inventory and pricing in a dynamic and user-friendly online environment.
Agents selling their halal excursions on Tripfez will be exposed to a global audience of Muslim travelers who spent more than US$142 billion on tourism in 2014 – a figure expected to reach more than $233 billion in 2020, or around 25% of total global travel expenditure, according to Thomson Reuters.
“Tripfez is a virtual shop window showcasing halal-friendly travel solutions to a captive, but underserved audience of 108 million Muslim travelers who already represent at least 10% of the entire travel economy and are increasingly making travel purchasing decisions based on their religious beliefs,” explained Tripfez Founder & CEO Faeez Fadhlillah.
“We are providing travel agents with a chance to sell their Muslim-friendly tours and experiences in real time to this relatively untapped, but highly lucrative market, which is expected to reach 150 million travelers by 2020.”
Tripfez allows travelers to browse and book a portfolio of handpicked hotels and tours that meet their specific faith-based needs.
Similarly, agents who register their Muslim-focused tours with Tripfez will be asked to meet certain criteria before they are distributed through the website. Agents interested in selling their tours through Tripfez can do so by registering online at www.tripfez.com.
