The Syfy network's popular Ghost Hunters program is featuring the New York campus of The Culinary Institute of America in its new season. The episode, "Too Many Apparitions in the Kitchen," debuts on the cable channel on September 2 at 9 p.m. EDT. The episode focuses on Roth Hall, the main building of the campus. Before the CIA moved to Hyde Park in 1972, the building was the St. Andrew-on-Hudson Jesuit novitiate for more than 60 years. Legend has it that a priest named Father Murphy haunted the building.
A crew from the television show, along with The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS) founder Jason Hawes and his team of paranormal investigators, spent several nights on campus last fall. They investigated the attic, catacombs, and many other areas of Roth Hall, as well as the Jesuit cemetery on the property.
