In continued efforts to further promote Indian weddings to Thailand, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) -New Delhi & Tourism Authority of Thailand-Mumbai along with THAI Airways International recently took selected wedding planners to Thailand to promote it as a great destination for Indian wedding celebrations. There were about 30 top Indian wedding planners from pan- India. TAT hosted the group in Thailand while THAI Airways International was the airline partner.
The wedding planners were given a choice of 3 routes to choose from.
Route 1: Koh Chang – Pattaya- Bangkok
Route 2: Rayong – Koh Samet- Pattaya – Bangkok
Route 3: Hua Hin- Pattaya – Bangkok
All 3 groups of wedding planners met at Pattaya for the Wedding Industry Symposium , where the Thai private sector was briefed about Indian weddings and best ways to impress the celebrations and live up to expectations of the Indians. In Bangkok a table top session was organized for the group, where they got an opportunity to meet and interact with service providers of various segments in Thailand for Indian weddings.
The purpose of this trip was to acquaint and familiarize the top wedding planners of India, with various hotels and facilities available in different destinations of Thailand to host grand Indian Weddings and celebrations. This trip covered the inspections of a few world-class hotels and resorts as well as tourist attractions. Post the trip, all wedding planners that participated were given “The Thailand Specialist Wedding Planner Certificate”
