To meet the demand in Ecuador, especially in Quito and Guayaquil, beginning in June American Airlines is operating one of its flights between Miami and Quito with a Boeing 767 and during the summer season a flight between Miami and Guayaquil with a Boeing 757.
QUITO, Ecuador–as part of its commitment to the Ecuadorian market, beginning June 4, American Airlines will be operating one of its two flights between Miami and Quito with a Boeing 767, increasing the number of seats available in this market. During the summer season, the airline will also operate one of its two flights between Miami and Guayaquil with a Boeing 757.
Currently, American operates its twice-daily flights between Miami and the international airport Mariscal Sucre (UIO) Quito with a Boeing 757 with 176 seats-16 seats in Executive class and economy class 160. Starting June 4, American will operate one of its two daily flights to Quito with a Boeing 767, which has 218 seats – 30 business class seats and 188 economy class seats.
Similarly, one of the two daily flights between Miami and the international Jose Joaquin de Olmedo Airport (GYE) of Guayaquil, will operate in a Boeing 757 with 176 seats instead of a Boeing 737 with 160 seats.
“This change of equipment on our flights from Miami to Quito and Guayaquil strengthens even more our presence in Ecuador, a key market for American Airlines in Latin America,” said Edwin Rincon, Sales Manager for American Airlines in Ecuador. “We are very pleased with this change that will help us meet the demand in Ecuador and will largely promote the growth of tourism in the country.”
