HOUSTON – EVA Air will expand its trans-Pacific network and initiate non-stop flights from Houston to Asia’s most conveniently located transit hub, Taiwan’s Taoyuan International Airport, on June 20, 2015. The airline will fly a brand-new Boeing 777-300ER specially painted with its own Hello Kitty Jet theme. With just one easy stop in Taipei, EVA will give travelers the fastest transit and most convenient schedule for travel from Texas to cities throughout Asia, including 83 weekly flights connecting onward to Singapore, Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Hanoi, Manila, Bangkok, Phnom Penh, Kuala Lumpur, Denpasar (Bali), Jakarta and Surabaya (Indonesia) in addition to service to Hong Kong, Macau, 33 destinations in China via 133 weekly flights and more.
EVA will start the new service with three flights a week and increase frequency to four on July 1, 2015. Passengers can rest, relax or work on a comfortable flight from Houston to Taipei aboard the brand-new aircraft and, with a convenient connection time, continue on to destinations throughout Asia.
EVA is configuring its new Boeing 777-300ER with 333 seats, 39 in Royal Laurel Class business, 56 in Elite premium economy and 238 in Economy. It is equipping every seat with Sky Wi-Fi, global roaming that passengers can use to send and receive short messages on their own mobile phones and the latest inflight entertainment system with recent-release movies, television features, music, games and shopping in every seat.
EVA will reveal its latest Hello Kitty Jet theme in April and unveil the design in June. It gave Greater Houston Area travel professionals an exclusive first look at the new Houston-Taipei service in a special introductory conference on March 27, 2015.
