Bangkok-based hotel and resort company Dusit International announced the opening of its first hotel in sub-Saharan Africa and second in the African continent, following the successful launch of the Dusit Thani LakeView Cairo in Egypt in 2009. Nestled along Nairobi’s leafy and secure Riverside Drive suburb, the new property is just minutes from the glamour of the central business district and merely a stone’s throw away from the heart of vibrant Westlands.
The second property in the African continent; the dusitD2 Nairobi has creative and striking artworks on display throughout public areas, the plug n’ play facilities in each of its lavish 101 guest rooms and suites, and even in the inventive cuisine available at its three stunning international restaurants.
Dusit International Managing Director and CEO Mr Chanin Donavanik said, “This hotel, being the first in Kenya to be managed by an Asian operator, serves as a great example of a collaboration between two companies sharing one vision. I would like to congratulate my partners on this significant achievement and we look forward to a long and successful business relationship in years to come. This is only the first of many projects for Dusit in sub-Saharan Africa, as we look to solidify our presence on the continent.”
