Tourism in Nicaragua has grown considerably recently, and it is now the second largest industry in the nation. As tourism to Nicaragua continues to grow, new hotels and infrastructure additions throughout the country grow too. Here are a few noteworthy happenings coming in 2015.
New hotel: The Inn at Rancho Santana – Located on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua, the picturesque  property of Rancho Santana will debut a boutique hotel in March: The Inn at Rancho Santana. The 17-room retreat will be a rustic but stylish hideaway within the larger ranch, perfect for those seeking a more intimate setting.
New airport: A new private airport along the Emerald Coast – A new small-scale international gateway will open at the end of the year. The airport, funded by Guacalito de la Isla, will be available to the public and surrounding properties, allowing for small planes and visitors to easily access the Pacific Coast.
Renovation: Aqua Wellness Resort – This eco-luxury property will enlarge its spa, plus add a swimming pool, new restaurant and new “treehouse” accommodations.
