Hilton Worldwide Earns Top Marks in 2015 Corporate Equality Index

MCLEAN, Va. - Hilton Worldwide announced today that it received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2015 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Hilton joins the ranks of 364 major U.S. businesses, which also earned top marks this year.
"As a diverse and inclusive company, we are proud to make a positive working environment for all of our Team Members a priority," said Matt Schuyler, executive vice president and chief human resources officer. "This recognition is a true testament to our commitment to ensure that Hilton Worldwide is a great place to work and the first choice employer for Team Members in the U.S. and around the world."
The 2015 CEI rated 972 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. Hilton's efforts in satisfying all of the CEI's criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.
