Africa Travel Association (ATA) kicked off its 39th annual world congress in Uganda.
Moderated by Stephen Asiimwe, Chief Executive Officer, Uganda Tourism Board, Official Opening Ceremony took place on Wednesday at the Speke Resort Munyonyo. President of the Republic of Uganda H. E. Yoweri K. Museveni, Hon. Dr. Maria Mutagamba; Minister, MP, Uganda Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, Hon. Walter Mzembi; Minister of Zimbabwe Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Susan Muhwezi; ATA Uganda Chapter President; Chairperson, Uganda Hotel Owners Association, Edward Bergman; Executive Director, Africa Travel Association, H.E Ambassador Amina Salum Ali; Permanent Representative of the African Union Mission to the USA, African Union were the speakers of the opening ceremony of the ATA’s 39th Annual World Congress in Uganda.
Turkish Airlines Uganda General Manager Erbil Akgün, Sales Manager Cem Batu and Mehmet Dogan from Istanbul Arar Tour also attend the congress.
ATA's signature event in Africa provides a networking, learning and agenda-shaping platform for the most diverse group of tourism industry stakeholders of any travel industry event on the continent.
