THE MASLOW WINS TWO AWARDS AT THE PRESTIGIOUS 2014 BUSINESS TRAVELLER AWARDS

Johannesburg 4 September 2014 – Sun International’s Maslow Hotel, set in Sandton’s financial district in Johannesburg has secured two awards at the prestigious 2014 Business Traveller Awards: Best Business Hotel in South Africa and Best Small Conference Venue.

Johan Scheepers, General Manager of The Maslow Hotel comments:
“We are absolutely thrilled that The Maslow has been acknowledged as the leading business hotel in South Africa at the 2014 Business Traveller Awards. That our customers, suppliers and travel agents have nominated us as their premier business hotel is significant, as we believe there is no greater indication of your service and performance than a positive reference from those you have served. And it is of course a tremendous source of pride that we scooped the very first award for Best Small Conference Venue.”

The awards programme - run by the publishers of Business Traveller Africa magazine - now in its third year, serves to acknowledge excellence in the South African business travel sector and is based on the results of a comprehensive survey of travel buyers, travel agents, actual business travellers, professional conference organisers, executive assistants, PAs, and suppliers in the business travel space.

“These accolades are testament to our employees’ commitment to service excellence, quality, professionalism, and innovation to have positioned The Maslow as a leading and respected business hotel within two years of opening,” adds Scheepers.

The Maslow is named after psychologist Abraham Maslow who created the eponymous Hierarchy of Needs based on human motivation - aims to give business guests the perfect balance between work and life. The hotel’s stylish and business-savvy environment allows guests from all four corners of the world to maximise their time to switch into business mode with cutting-edge facilities, technology and design in place.

“The Maslow Hotel offers a relaxed, discreet and non-intrusive service tailor-made for the guest, where everyone feels welcome. By creating corporate facilities such as the Wayfarer Lounge, where we offer shower facilities for guests so they can come in and freshen up, enjoy a fast executive breakfast option or entertain colleagues in the lobby which also has free Wi-Fi access, we give our guests modern business amenities they can depend upon,” says Scheepers.

“However, we know that we can’t afford to be complacent. This is a highly competitive and dynamic industry. To be recognised as a top business hotel, we must stay focussed on continuous improvement and innovation,” concludes Johan Scheepers.
