Secret location for AIME Welcome Reception

Karen Bolinger, CEO of the Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) announced that the location for the Asia‐Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME) Welcome Reception is veiled in secrecy and will only be revealed on Friday, 14 February.

Taking place on 17 February, the night before AIME begins, Ms Bolinger explained that with thanks to the creative genius of Peter Jones Special Events, the Welcome Reception will literally pop‐up at an unexpected site.

“The ability to create this event just hours before the occasion is testament to Melbourne’s versatility and what the city is synonymous for; unpredictable, innovative fun and a discovery around every corner.

“AIME delegates will be welcomed to the state with a celebration of all things quintessentially Melbourne, and will have the opportunity to network with industry professionals in an informal setting before the two‐day tradeshow commences the next day.”

Ms Bolinger hinted that the event will be held within a five minute walk of Melbourne’s iconic Flinders Street Station.

“Whether it’s in the Royal Botanic Gardens or down a laneway, indoors or outdoors, delegates will certainly experience Melbourne’s eclectic and inspirational vibe,” Ms Bolinger concluded.

AIME, which is owned by MCB, is currently the largest business expo in Australia, and will host more than 750 exhibitors and 3500 delegates responsible for organising meetings, incentives and business travel at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 18 and 19 February, 2014.
