Most visited travel destinations of Russian tourists in 2013

Russian Federation Federal Agency for Tourism (Rosturizm) announced number of outgoing tourists in the first 9 months of 2013. 

According to the statistics of Rosstat, in the first nine months of 2013, outbound travel from Russian is increased by 23 % to $ 14.8 million.

The most popular destinations in the period from January to September were Turkey ( 2.7 million , + 20% ), Egypt ( 1.4 million , 17 %) , Greece ( 1.1 million , 69 %) , Spain ( 887,1 thousand , 29 ), China ( 787.2 thousand , -20% ), Finland ( 787.1 thousand , 102 % ), Thailand ( 683 thousand , 23 %) , Germany ( 638.1 thousand , 20 %) , Italy ( 605.5 thousand , 31 %).

A total of 42.583.312 Russian tourists went abroad in the first 9 months of 2013 an increase of 14 percent compare to last year. 37.299.930 tourists went abroad in the same period last year.
