MCI is partnering with the European Union (EU) on the creation of the EU exhibition area for Expo Milano 2015, a global exposition expected to attract over 20 million people from 139 participating nations and international organisations.
MCI’s International Special Projects Division is a key strategic partner for Expo Milan 2015 and has brought together a visionary consortium of companies to serve the creative needs of the countries and companies participating, advising on all aspects of the event communication strategy and implementation in line with the Expo theme, "Feeding the Planet: Energy for Life."
“This consortium not only offers countries and brands the chance to work with one dedicated team with vast international expertise and know-how from concept to delivery, it also gives them the unique opportunity to tap into the vision and insights of MCI’s sustainability experts and thought leaders,” said Sophie Deletraz, leading MCI’s involvement in the Expo Milano 2015 project.
The EU theme statement "Growing Europe's Future Together for a Better World" was released last week, and seeks to connect with the theme of the expo while emotionally involving visitors in the development of a sustainable future for Europe and the world.
Led by MCI Brussels, the project team’s vision is to engage visitors in the EU theme across 1,900 square metres of prime exhibition space by immersing them in the story of the food supply chain through the example of wheat and bread - a unique expression of heart, home and sustenance for each European country. As they are immersed in the field to fork story, guests will learn about EU history, current food policies and the promising technologies of tomorrow and will leave inspired to join the movement to shape a fairer and more sustainable future for the planet.
